Biography

I am Dr. Paul Quang DuongTran and currently Full Professor in the Department of Social Work of the College of Health, Human Services, and Nursing at California State University Dominguez Hills in Carson, California. Since 1993 my university work has gained national and international recognition in areas of teaching, research, consultation, and training involving non-governmental organizations (NGO) and universities in the United States, Southeast and Pacific Asia. In recent years, I collaborated on research projects in Cambodia, Viet Nam, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines to investigate the short and long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the social functioning and well-being of adults and families. Overall, my research and clinical practice have focused on social changes to facilitate social adaptation, mental and physicalhealth services to reduce disparity and inequity in the Pacific Asian communities in the United States and communities in Southeast and Pacific Asia
