Journal of Rehabilitation Practices and Research
FROM : Effectiveness of Neuro-vision Educational Modules on Knowledge and Confidence
Review 1

Much of the recommendations are related to formatting and structure. Several locations have “fused” words where spaces should be included to make sure that the flow of information is adjusted. These specifics are highlighted in yellow.
All formatting errors corrected
Based on the data findings using the survey and the evaluation of the study, I don’t see that the context of the “current knowledge” of the participants was evaluated. The data collected seemed to focus on the confidence of the practitioners both in their knowledge and/or their execution of treatment, not their actual knowledge of the treatment.  Some clarification of how their actual knowledge was evaluated during the study would be valuable. Or elaboration of how Research Question #1 focuses on the knowledge and the confidence as different components of the study.
The questionnaire provided to the practitioners included questions both about their knowledge and their confidence in knowing neuro-vision assessments and interventions. See Appendix A- Investigator developed survey.
During the qualitative data analysis, this last statement suggests that saturation was reached based on the investigator evaluation of common themes, although there is not a “fixed” number in qualitative research to achieve saturation, the possibility of attaining this with such a small sample size is unlikely.  I am not suggesting that saturationdid not happen;however, it may be valuable for the study investigators to re-evaluate their findings to ensure that this is actually the case.
We understand that our sample size is very small. For the themes, we coded and recoded separately (6 of us) and then reviewed the themes as a group, discussed together for any redundancy and stopped when recurring themes occurred with no new information. Hence, we wrote that saturation for the themes of our study question occurred.
Heading; this needs to be adjusted as a proper heading, Bolding)
Corrected as per suggestion. Our mistake, thank you
This portion of the write-up is well written and focuses on the fact that the investigators are aware of the limitations within the study!!
Within the limitations of the sample size being small, I think it would be valuable to provide why this is limiting both for the qualitative and the quantitative data analysis.  It is important to provide awareness that you as investigators understand the limitations and that it does not deter from the benefits that this study provides, which is represented in the Future Research section.
We understand that this is a small sample size and does not conform to the traditional mixed methods. Our topic and the implications for OT practitioners is a very specialized area and hence it was difficult to recruit and have OTPs commit to the completion of the modules. We started of with 13 participants but 7 dropped off due to various reasons we have explained in our limitations.
Overall, I think the study and findings has significant value in the area of rehabilitation specifically in OT!  These findings need to lead to greater understanding of the topic and further research.  With some minor revisions in the current written study to ensure that the study design and findings are in line with ideal research structure and building on current research, including both qualitative and quantitative design, this study should be included in publication.
Thank you for your time to give us valuable feedback.
